No, it starts and ends with a new offensive coordinator. chuck is just an easy target b/c of his personality. he is what has kept us in games and gotten us to the point where we can expect to win or compete in all games, no matter the opponent.

the louisville game will be a full circle game because it will almost definately be at about this time of the year with at least one team undefeated and one team at least somewhere in the top 20. college gameday will finnally be back in raleigh.

these three raod games we could lose to spoil the louiville from being top 5(if we unbeaten) top 15(if we lose 1) top 20 or just top 25 if we lose all 3. gameday will be here regardless because a top 5 team visiting a top 25 team this late ooc

flroida state-they will be great next year. this is a road game. possibly gameday we get up so we can win against a true freshman qb. chuck always knows what bowden is going to do

wake-another road game. probobly a brookes and dunn game. we always struggle against wake

miami-miami will still be talented. this si still a south florida rivalry game. they will have a good caoch but will struggle but this will be homecoming for them and we will be looking ahead to the big showdown next week. they may have as little as 1 or 2 losses at this point. another possible gameday

if we get through at least 1 of those 3 games louisville will be the biggest game ever in ncstate football. if we get through them all it will be the biggest game of the national college football season.

^because chuck was new and hadnt got his players in yet. we still sucked on defense from the ocain days. 02 was the only year we had a defense that put up resistence

we may not have had the best d (i think we really did in 04 but its arguable) but we certainly had a damn great d and one of the best.

great d + great qb= success. that last 2 years have almsot been a situation where if we score 20 and dont throw any big pics we win. rivers would have almost guaranteed those every game. we would have won championships if rivers was on a team with chucks players.

I dont know who you're arguing with and what you said this for, and I hate to side with hcnguyen or someone...but...


this is fucking stupid. If anything, the #1 ranked defense in the country should say even more about how good that defense was rather than be blown off as insignificant. Sure, we didnt force many turnovers, but we made stops, got the ball back for our offense, and FUCK BAM BOOM OUR OFFENSE GAVE IT RIGHT BACK TO THE OTHER TEAM. If you think our D is spending a fuckload of time on the field this year....take a look back at the number of plays our defense had per game that year. It was an astronomical number.

You probably think back to two games where we gave up an asston of yards (UNC, Miami)...but even including those games we still had the #1 ranked D in the nation with an inept offense. I'd rather have two games a year where our defense lets us down and then lock down the opponent in the other 9 than I would to just suck a little bit each game and lose. If you dont have a shit offense, you're probably going 8-3 better. 8-3 or 8-4 would satisfy me every year as long as we have shots at the ACC championship.

I actually understand where you would think that statistic is bullshit though...we gave up a lot of points that year.


We gave up 3.5 yards per play....by far the best in the ACC. Thats significant.


And we were 10th out of 11 in red zone defense giving up 16 touchdowns. I think that came from shitty field position and turnovers by the offense. We were last in the ACC in turnover margin that year.
