^The reason that game is at 330 this year is because ABC wants to broadcast it nationally, which they cant do with a noon or similar start. Last year the game was at 1PM actually (just checked), so it had to be broadcast on ESPN on the west coast because FCC regulations mandate 3 hours of educational/informative programming for children, which is usually run on Saturday mornings. Occasionally these shows are moved to the afternoons, but thats a weekend when ABC probably wants to do 3 games all day, making it impossible (plus its easier to have it on one network nationwide).
