Alternative rock icons Red Hot Chili Peppers and alternative pop duo Gnarls Barkley have joined forces and are coming to the RBC Center for the first time.

The tour supports the Red Hot Chili Peppers' ninth album, "Stadium Arcadium," which sold over 400,000 copies during its first week in stores, enough to earn the group its first No. 1 album on The Billboard 200 chart. The record's first single, "Dani California" was the band's fastest-selling single which they followed up with the cut "Tell Me Baby."

Special guests, Gnarls Barkley, featuring Grammy-winning producer Danger Mouse and vocalist Cee-Lo Green is supporting its debut album, "St. Elsewhere," which spawned the mega-hit "Crazy."

I saw them here with Snoop Dog as well, and I was about to say, no way tickets are $185, because that other concert wasn't anything near sold out

apparently you have to be a fan club member in order to get the presale...at least through slick deals that is so

yeah i figured it out. joined the club for $30 and bought some floor seats in the presale.

they give you personalized PW's so you can't even share them

yeah it's a christmas gift for my brother

tickets were $58.60 each plus a "convenience" charge of $10 each.

i ended up paying like $137 for two tickets on top of the fan club price.

i wouldn't generally spend that much on tickets to a concert, but it's a gift that i know will be much appreciated so that makes it better. plus i get to go too and the last time i saw them (w/foo fighters a long time ago) i got in for free so i guess it sort of averages out

PET PEEVE ALERT

I hate it when people refer to an album as "a CD." CDs are a format that albums are released on.

^^^^^tickets are $58.60 plus the $10 convenience charge, so i guess you could say $70 each to be safe.

my total came out to be $137 and change for 2 tickets.

^nobody gives a fuck about your pet peeves

RHCP is one of my all-time favs, and their concerts are great, but come-on, how can you validate spending that kind of money for a concert when so many great bands will play in a venue where you can, i don't know... actually see? for 25 bucks or less.

agreed. i could see paying that much in a smaller venue because of less tickets being sold, but ill be damned if im going to pay that much to see a band at the RBC center. the sound there is horrible.

and honestly, at a venue like the RBC, you are watching the concert on the tvs for the most-part, might as well wait for the concert tour dvd.

The only time I paid that kind of money for a show in a venue even close to that size was SP in Charlotte on the Adore tour. It was in that large theater next to the Cricket Arena, and it was $40, but it all went to charity.

got my tix on thursday or friday when they released some. lower level sec 116 beside the stage.

so is gnarls barkley opening? it appears so, ticketmaster jsut lists it as RHCP

I hope they play Sir Psycho Sexy, that's my xbox live gamertag

and John Frusciante needs to grow the fuck up and play some stuff off one hot minute, I don't give a shit if he wasn't in the band for that album. Coffee Shop is one of their best songs. as is walkabout
