I think this http://www.projectplaylist.com thing will be a great way to share some music tastes. So if all the metal fans out there made a playlist and added to it, it'd be real easy to introduce eachother to new bands (and the great thing is you can continually update it without having to repost it). In the interest of centralization I'd like to keep this thread focused on metal...
I just quickly threw this one together, but if one of you premies would be so kind as to embed it I'd appreciate it

actually more than one of those bands has been in my recent listening cycle.
decapitated just rule and are young as shit. they know how to keep it wolf. they are all like 20 and just played in fayetville (who knew? I was pissed when I found out I missed it)
anata are obvious bros who can write killer riffs. I have no idea how they do it.
meshuggah are simply the kings of polyrhythmic metal.

paerabol, love the Decapitated from your playlist. I've been meaning to get more into those guys.
Oh, and you get lots of \m/ points for including Cryptopsy. I saw them last year and they play the whole None So Vile album 11/15/2006 1:25:12 AM |

You should deeefinitely check out Decapitated...if you're not like me and go for total immersion when I hear a band I like (i.e. not stopping till you own all their albums), start with their latest (Organic Hallucinosis) and work backwards. They're just flat-out good metal...don't really have a bad thing to say about them. I'll add a little more of them to my list for good measure 11/15/2006 10:42:24 AM |

Cool, thanks for putting more up there! I'll definitely check out their latest release.
You should check out Celtic Frost if you haven't already. Their latest album Monotheist is the darkest, heaviest album they've ever made. Real cool stuff. 11/16/2006 11:40:15 PM |

added some All Shall Perish, Dissection, and Zyklon
^ Celtic Frost is a band I've always had a few mp3s by but never really listened to. They're now on my agenda 11/21/2006 2:17:23 PM |
