My Japanese is pretty much around basic level.
It's actually pretty easy to get a job teaching english here and yes, they have to import native english speakers to teach them English. 11/19/2006 7:52:43 AM |

I know one American girl who went to Korea to teach English. She didn't even know Korean. From what she tells me, a lot of Asian schools and families will hire people just to speak English to them so they can practice.
Same person was in Honduras for a few months doing the same thing. No Spanish required. 11/20/2006 8:37:27 AM |

Not that many, and nearly all have been in Europe. I've been sent to a lot of places multiple times and gotten lucky enough to go to all of them.
Are you back in the states now or still posted in the south?

What does it take to obtain a right to work outside the US?
I'm really considering working abroad instead of going to grad school. Heck, I might even consider grad school abroad. 1/17/2007 11:06:39 PM |
