Can anyone give me some pointers on it, like what're your default settings when starting it. I just found the web page view and I love it, but the auto bullets bug the living shit out of me, and I just figured out how to shut those off. I don't know, If I can format the bullets to my own specifications, it would be nice. Also, is there a way to auto format anything pasted to a certain font and size?

But, I'm just looking for some general tips with this program.

If you are still a student at NC State, pay the $60 (or whatever it is) to buy MS Office from the bookstore for personal use. I'm not a huge fan of MS Office, but IMHO, it's the best thing out there until more open standards are developed/accepted. There are a number of things Open Office can't do nearly as easily as MS Office. Yes there are a number of things it CAN do better, but those don't outweigh the things it can't do. If it's a business machine, tell your boss to fork over the $texas. Pretty quick/easy to show lost productivity from having to fuss with Open Office. (Unless of course you are a graduate student, then there is no "real" loss).

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Open_office has some external links at the bottom that might be useful.

I have used OpenOffice in linux and windows, and I still think its worth it to pay the $60 for a legit, non-spyware infested version of MS Office.

wow, what a bunch of cop-out suggestions

i support the use of open-source. I also use Open Office but don't really have any tips in using it. It works great for me.
