making his viewpoint known is not a bad thing, but why hide it. and what does its a message to myself possibly mean. So... you didnt pass it out, expect kids to search through it, you kept it all to your self as a form of self expression.

and you know your guilty when you resign before they accuse you. at least you know you f-ed up. at that point you just need to apologize and not make excuses, probably would of satisfied a lot of people if you quit and apologized

I have no problem with his views, but he doesn't have any business putting them in an assignment for a spanish class. If he taught some sort of current history course and wanted to talk about what was going on and left out the prayer for death I'd be completely alright with this, assuming he kept the information factual and that when expressing his views (if he did at all) he made it clear they wre only his views.

What he said isn't really that big of a deal. Sharon was involved in the massacre of Palestinians. People are probably most freaked out because of the word "Allah" and that it involves the middle east. It's no different than an american saying "god, help destroy the terrorists who are killing innocent Americans". I think americans would have a lot less of a problem with that than with what was actually said. I guarantee you a white, american teacher would not have lost their job over saying that. If anything the issue that it doesn't belong in an assignment would have been addressed and that is it.
