Powerful enough to buy out Chuck contract? They did it to Bowden's kid to get him out of Florida St.

this is pretty specific. can't just lump anything with the word "chuck" in it to one thread.

if you're talking about athletic supporters, the first thing that should come to mind is chuck

Murphy is State's biggest booster, owner of one of the world's largest pork producers, and also chairs the NCSU Board of Trustees.. I say his money and his position give him a lot of power in deciding whether Chuck stays or goes.

You guys can't forget Vaughn either. But Murphy and Vaughn are EXTREMELY displeased with Chuck Amato and are spearheading the group to force him out and get a new coach.

This should interesting to see how it plays out.

I think the biggest problem is that we're not given a fair shot to try and demand the best for our athletic programs because of the media situation. I know this is a dead horse but it IS relative to the situation.

I also doubt that we have the money to continue the type of booster spending that we've been acustomed to in recent years. One example of this is the failure to build the North Endzone to what it should have been. We gross more $$$ in football while putting in less but our reservoir of free $$$ isn't as large as many people think.

I just think that a new coach could spark another era of high expectations, especially if we got the people we aim to get. This could be a good thing the second time around...

they helped their father create the MurFAM Enterprises company.. so kinda yea they had help with their fortune

there's a post on redandwhitefromstate.com that mentions the David Glenn interview on 620 about some members of the BOT not happy, and that more may be detracting after today's game.

if the BOT want Chuck out, he's out.. no way Fowler will be able to ignore a vote of no confidence from the board.

Wrong...Murphy stood up for Chuck at the last Board of Trustees Meeting. And that meeting was a LONG TIME AGO. Back when we had just beat BC and FSU. A LOT has changed since then.

If you think Fowler is the problem with firing Chuck, that he wont get it done

Notice Fowlers name isnt on any of the buildings around the football complex and more importantly

it certainly wasnt Fowlers jet who carried him searching for a coach...

its out of Foulups hands

Chuck Amato will be the coach in 2007. Without a doubt. The Wolfpack Club has said this in a meeting 2 weeks ago in Greensboro. They don't do that without talking to their board, and one of their board members confirmed it in the same meeting.

So I don't know where you are getting this consiracy theory from but your imagination is a little creative.
