i may be getting some bday money that i want to put towards a new mp3 player. atm, i want an ipod. i've looked into the Zen Vision:M specs, and the 30g iPod. I'm more of a fan of the iPod mainly b/c it's thinner and lighter. Is there anything new happening with the iPod that I should wait for? (I'm not really looking for new features, but I'm thinking that if something new releases, the model I'm looking for might drop in price a little.) with the student discount, i'd be able to get it for $225 before tax.

btw, does anyone have opinions about the nano vs the regular size? i always felt that the nano was a ripoff, but the more i see its size, i don't know... I almost have 8 gigs of music atm, and i don't know if i' want more space for file storage.

but, i guess i'm just mainly asking about any possible new happenings with apple or other mp3 players that are worth looking into. depending on if i have the money, i'd like to buy this around/after thanksgiving so that i'd have it for the last weeks/exam weeks of school.

The iPods were recently refreshed, so I don't expect anything new too soon (for at least 6 months) on the iPod front.
