The content remains largely the same (offensive to some) free expression of thought that it was before, with the addition of some of the most pathetic forum politics I have ever seen.

There have been times when mods have suspended people for shitty reasons. Nevertheless, CrazyJ doesn't have the time to be babysitting this site--a site with users, I should say, that NEED babysitting from time to time--so he has to delegate that shit.

If there is a specific suspension you have an issue with, let us know and we can see what the deal is.

Are you forgetting that there's actually a list of rules or something? Those rules are broken usually twice before the "Post Thread" button is pressed and there are no suspensions, no acts of enforcement, unless that thread title happens to contain a moderator's name and an inflammatory remark. i mean, when they first started having regular posters be moderators, a couple of people (beardawg, and a couple of others) went a little overboard, but it wasn't THAT big of a deal and it didn't last long.

back in the day, you could get away with almost anything. people were constantly breaking threads. that goddamn "badger badger mushroom mushroom" thing was embedded loud as shit in every other thread, etc.

uh, as far as I'm aware moderators have always been selected from regular users.

the only thing that changed is that they gained the power to suspend other regular users, and went overboard with it.

and nowadays you can get away with posting graphic pictures of necrophilia in a thread about kittens if you prepend "NSFW" to your post with half a page of whitespace apparently, how is that an improvement? people don't get fired for "BADGER BADGER BADGER", people get fired when they have to explain why the proxy logged them accessing CORPSEFUCK07.JPG

Yeah, uh, I haven't been suspended recently, neither has anyone I associate with. I'm not crying about anything.

I'm simply of the opinion that there is absolutely no reason for someone, particularly someone with your apparent attitude issues judging from the fact that you were inciting further drama in two of the three threads mentioned above, to be in the position to stifle the free expression of thoughts and ideas.

Of course, you would still have the power to edit, lock, and move threads, but let's not even joke about any moderation occuring after the incentive of absolute power is withdrawn.
