does anyone have these? just curious if they are really worth 100$. I just lost mine and am looking for a new pair. The set of headphones I lost were only 20 dollars and sounded great. 11/22/2006 12:09:24 PM |

I've never heard of these before, but for in-ear headphones, I can highly recommend Shures. I had a pair of E3's, and recently purchased some E4's. They're a little more than the Bose, but the quality is superb. 11/22/2006 12:42:26 PM |

if you're looking to spend just $100, go with the Shure e2c headphones. I've had my pair for over two years now and they're the best. Of course if you can afford more a expensive set, get the e3c or e4c if possible.
Also Shure's 2-year warranty is amazing. My original e2c earphones broke, after just slightly over 2 years of use, and I sent them back without receipt for a free replacement within 5 days. Amazing.
I'll buy e4c's if I have to replace these again, but go with Shure if you buy in ear headphones. 11/22/2006 12:49:42 PM |

Bose does not make the best Audio gear for the money.
If their headphones were 40% cheaper, then they MIGHT be worth considering. 11/22/2006 1:16:39 PM |

I've had 2 pairs of e2c's break on me. I'll have to try the whole sending back w/o receipt thing (just over 2 years..)
But sound quality is magnificent. I'll buy some e4c's soon probably. 11/22/2006 1:34:54 PM |

im always of the camp of logrithmic performance gains. i cant imagine 100 dollar headphones being that much better than some good 50 dollar ones. i say if you liked your 20 dollar headset, get another pair. 11/22/2006 1:47:48 PM |

^^ check out Shure's FAQ on sending them in for Warranty service http://tinyurl.com/y56buj
The build date on the headphones is stamped on the side of the plug, and mine were out of the 2-year period but they replaced mine for free anyhow. 11/22/2006 2:05:15 PM |

I've had the Shure e2cs for a few months now and I really enjoy them. I got them on Amazon for about $70 (brand new of course). They seem pretty sturdy and haven't given me any problems. I would defintely recommend them.
I'm not sure how much better the 3c or 4cs are, so I can't really compare them, but I've heard its worth the extra dough if you have it. 11/22/2006 3:04:01 PM |

^i haven't really bothered to read the other thread, but at a scan of the titles, there is a difference between an earbud and an in-ear monitor. i have a feeling people are probably making recommendations for the two interchangeably, but they're not the same thing.
i have a pair of Etymotic ER-4P's, and they're brilliant. You can find them for about $160, but they have another model, the ER-6, which sells for about $80. 11/22/2006 9:34:05 PM |

i actually just had the chance to try the shure e2cs for a second time and i have to say they are pretty impressive. the first time i tried them i concluded that they sucked asss but then relized that for bass they have to be pushed into your ear a bit . they come with tons of options as far as what ear piece u want on em. great headphones if u can get a deal on em . 11/23/2006 7:13:53 AM |
