I have been saying that the Chargers will win the superbowl since the beginning of the season, however only now do I have the balls to post such an idea. The offense is best in the NFL and the defense is about to get Merriman back .. I don't know of any team in the NFL that the Chargers can't beat, especially after this past week vs. the Broncos .. Bears vs. Chargers in the SB?

The Chargers are definitely contenders but they have some things that could hurt them

A) Their defense has sucked for the most part the past 5-6 games. Defense usually wins playoff games because its so hard to win multiple shootouts and they dont have a very good one right now.

B) They don't have very good WR's and Rivers has been ignoring Gates for some reason this year.

C) LDT could die of overuse at the end of the year like he did last season.

D) First time playoff QB's usually suck and Rivers wasnt exactly on top of his game last week.


If they can wrap up the #2 seed so they dont have to play a lot of road games I could see it happening, but if they have to go on the road i doubt they are good enough to make it happen.

Lorenzo Neal? I think you must mean Michael Turner. Neal is a great blocker but he wouldn't be/isn't their #2 option when running the ball.

11-2 and best offense in the League .. it is funny because I am pretty sure that Drew Brees had LT last year too They have to guard against the pass and the run .. if any year PR is getting a SB ring it is this year with an MVP RB.
