you'll get a decent price for this on ebay...but you probably won't get many bids until the last day or so.
2 points for future reference tho. The title of the auction is where you want to put things like this 1.6GHz / 512MB / 20GB / 15" etc because people search for those things and because the specs will stand out more.
And you really don't want to sell something like this AS-IS unless it has some problems. You're saying to potential buyers "spend $400 on this, but it might not work...buyer beware" If you're going to allow returns, then don't say you're selling it AS-IS 11/25/2006 11:15:54 AM |

i realize i'll get a good price on ebay. it is on ebay. i was just trying to offer it to local people if they were interested. i also know to put that stuff in the title, but they limit how many characters you get. and when you search the subtitles can be included. this laptop is 4 years old, it is perfectly acceptable to sell it AS IS because thats what I'm doing. I'm not going to take it back if something goes wrong with it, it is four years old. I described everything, and stated that the only thing that might not work is the dial up modem.
i realize you are trying to be helpful, but this is precisely the reason i didn't even want to post it here. people thinking they know more about your stuff than you do. if youre not interested, dont post. thanks for the advice...... 11/25/2006 11:29:53 AM |

sell it AS-IS, and you're average selling price drops by at least 20%, your choice tho.
i was perplexed as to why you would react like ^ when all i did was tell you how to make more $$$ on your auction....then i saw
and its all clear. good luck to you.11/25/2006 3:37:33 PM |

look, i really dont want your advice. you are offering it unsolicited. i have sold tons of stuff on ebay all with positive results. as I already stated, if you aren't interested in bidding, then dont post. and yeah, great job with the female bullshit. go troll somewhere else. 11/25/2006 5:56:14 PM |

He's right. You should AT LEAST guarantee it isn't DOA. That's pretty reasonable and will make people a hell of a lot more comfortable. I agree you shouldn't offer any kind of real warranty..but telling people they can be sure they'll at least receive a working laptop is going to get you a good bit more money from the auction. 11/26/2006 2:58:51 AM |
