Can someone reccomend a good keyboard, something with easy tap keystrokes, not insane huggge, and maybe some programmable keys.

A light up background would be great too, I was thinking about the eclipse two, but I wasn't sure as there are other options.

IBM Model M for the win

I have one from 1988 that was working fine until I started losing the keycaps for it

If you don't have room for the G11 (or cooler slightly more expensive G15) keyboard from logitech, that razer looks like a good alternative. Just remember that it doesn't come with those goofy battle lights, they're extra.

The logitech G11 is cheaper, not really THAT much larger (the Tarantula is surprisingly large) and has a better lighting solution. If the size isn't too much then I'd reccomend it over the Tarantula as it's half the price.
