THE EVENT: After repeating as CIAA Champions two weeks ago, NCCU, the No. 1 seed in the NCAA Division II Southeast region, will face No. 5 seed Delta State University in the second round of the NCAA Division II Southeast Region playoffs.

ABOUT DELTA STATE: Delta State University is located in Cleveland, Mississippi, and boasts an enrollment of 4,284. Founded in 1924, DSU’s “Statesmen” compete in the Gulf South Conference. Dr. Brad Teague is DSU’s Director of Athletics and forest green and white are the school colors.

THE SERIES: This will be the first ever gridiron meeting between the Eagles and the Statesmen.
