potentially if Boise loses today.

There are 10 slots. Michigan, Ohio State, ACC winner, Big East winner, USC, Big 12 winner, SEC winner, 2nd SEC team (LSU likely) and then who??? You have to be in the Top 14 to be in the at-large pool and no more then 2 teams from a conference can be in the BCS (thus eliminating Arkansas and Auburn as well as Wisconsin). Texas will drop out of the Top 14, WVU will probably drop out of the Top 14.. Virginia Tech was 17th.

Notre Dame will likely stay in the Top 14 if the game tonight is close at all so you'll probably see them still get the at-large. So there is 1 slot left.

The teams that it will come down to are:

Virginia Tech: 2 losses. Has won 6 in a row and travels well.
WVU: 2 losses. One bad loss today but can get a 'computer boost' by beating Rutgers the final day of the year. They also travel very well and have 2 bonafide stars.

Well, that's really about it. If Rutgers somehow beats WVU (which won't happen) then that would add Louisville to the mix since Rutgers would own the tiebreaker. That means it comes down to Va Tech and UL since WVU lost to UL.

So in a very down year in the ACC they can still get 2 BCS bids with a Boise loss. Done. Beer time.

******

Well right now it looks moot, since Boise just took a 10-0 lead again..

WF will either get the auto bid or have 3 losses. They aren't as issue.

there will only be at most 2 2-loss teams in the ACC.. VT and the winner of the ACC championship. the loser of the championship will likely goto the Gator or Chick-fil-a bowl.

The ACC will yet again finish with no team in the top 12 of the final BCS standing most likely and if I am not mistaken that makes 3 years in a row, correct me if I am wrong. This means we will come under review for inclusion in the BCS anymore, and although there is no way they would boot us out, we pretty much can never talk about why we are getting left outta bowls in favor of other teams. GT and Clemson just helped to prove this point today, we can talk all we want to about the Big East, but frankly they look a helluva lot better than the "New" ACC.

no that means the BCS has the option of reviewing the ACC. BUT it's highly doubtful that any action will be taken since it's widely assumed that miami, vt and fsu at least will be back to prominance soon enough

They don't have the review anymore. After WVU beat the SEC last year they got rid of it..
