One downside to this is that's the other place Norm Chow said he'd coach. So now it might be a bidding war for Chow

I thought Chow said he'd coach at NCSU and USC, not NCSU and ASU

A bidding war would suck

but I am sure we would outbid them, especially if they announce it to the alumni

In addition

I just heard that some very big contributors offered the school 3 mil if Amato was fired at some point

i could see him going there actually

he ran a clean program and was clean himself, seems they like NCSU peeps

but I could really see him going to the NFL as a DC or maybe back to FSU if bobby would take him

would suck if he went to ASU and they beat Cal and USC and them, wouldnt happen but still.

All I know is that if Chow came in, and the offense still struggled after 2 seasons, it would totally be on the players

I don't see Amato getting a head coaching job at a Division school for a while.

That is a big fat no, trust me when I say he's no where as clean as Herb.

From the link

Quote :
"Knowledgeable sources say that if Arizona State fires Dirk Koetter, the top candidate might be former USC offensive coordinator Norm Chow. It's not a big stretch to find a reason, because ASU athletic director Lisa Love and Chow worked together at USC."

Which really only says ASU is interested in Chow, not that any move is taking place. I'd guess that Chow would pick ASU over us in a heartbeat though.

It's a foregone conclusion, in my mind, that Chow will be the next HC at Arizona St if he decides he wants to be HC anywhere...

^If Chow wants to jump start his career as HC somewhere it wont be ASU. He inherits way more talent, facilities, tradition, etc. here $$ at State.

Many schools that dont have good coaching or recruiting would love him for his recruiting, especially his FLA ties.

Talent? ASU last year 7-5; NCSU 3-9.

Facilities? Do you have any idea the facilities that ASU has? I don't. I'm curious.

Tradition? Arizona State had more success in 1997 then we have ever had. They were a David Boston TD away from a national championship. We don't have that kind of success in any year in our history.

Further, from what I've read ASU has more $$$$ to give to the head football coach than NCSU does...

Yeah....so he can turn them into a 3-9 team??? Recruiting means nothing if you can't turn it in to results. At the most, his good recruiting could get him an assistant job somewhere.

And ^....ASU has HAWTER girls. That would be a factor in my decision...but probably not Chow's.

^ You are right about that, his last 3 years here were so bad. It depends on which image of chuck the school buys > Gator Bowl Chuck or whatever he degraded into this year.....
