I've got a good Maxtor 200gig ATA-100 drive here, new in the plastic. Unfortunately I really need a SATA drive. Rather than blow $15 on an adapter, I thought I'd see if anyone had any new drives they might want to swap.

If you have an adapter, that'd be cool too.

IF you have a spare drive slot you can plug it in there....I plugged in mine to the spot where an additional CD drive would go....its and IDE ribbon right..

I have a Maxtor SATA 200 Gig.
I have the opposite problem. I have too many SATA and not enough PATA drives.
I would be interested in a trade.
It is about a year old. It works fine. I just changed it out for a Seagate 320gig SATAII. I needed more storage.
You can plug it in and check it out for yourself.
