not sure what you mean by "recognized", but underappreciated, under-awarded, etc - i'd go wtih John C. Reilly, and until recently philip seymour hoffman (not sure you can say that about someone who has a Best Actor Oscar)

Giovanni is a good actor with a lot of depth.

He's done comedy well (see his stint as Frank Jr. on Friends)
He's done serious roles well (see Boiler Room, Saving Private Ryan, Gone in Sixty Seconds)

And he was great, even as the comic relief in Cold Mountain.

kevin pollack is a really remarkable actor...and comedian for those of you that didn't know (like me until about a year ago).

he does incredible impressions. you know what i'm talking about bob and tom fans. the christopher walken he does sounds more like christopher walken than christopher walken does.

that's strange. i saw him as a comedian before i ever noticed him as an actor. but that was probably from back when comedy central was the 'comedy channel' and they played lots of standup clips.
