Dear ESPN, please stop wasting your HD broadcasts on NBA games.

at least 3 NBA games were broadcast in HD yesterday, 1 on ESPN and 2 on ABC i think.

Only 1 out of the 5 college basketball games that were broadcast on ESPN Saturday were in HD, and probably one or none out of the 4 or 5 on ESPN2 were. Not to mention the ABC game, not in HD either.

I can understand having one of the HD trucks at Daytona, but having all of the NBA broadcasts in HD when there is only one in HD on Saturday doesn't make sense.

That, and doesn't college basketball beat NBA as far as ratings go?

I remember reading that somewhere, but I could be making it up.

I agree, I HATE cluttered websites, thats why I have always liked yahoo a lot, they were always really clean and streamlined although here in the last few years its getting more and more cluttered

i stopped reading espn.com three years ago. most of the stuff up there is AP wire stories anyway, which I can read with less hassle on cnnsi.com . insider can go to hell.

Now they have a picture ad embedded in the ESPNEWS Headlines section. Some of the headlines wrap around onto 2 lines. It looks shitty and is hard to read/scan.

I predict that the NBA has better ratings, especially regular season......though games such as UNC-Duke will certainly have more viewers....but Clemson vs Va tech doesn't have more viewers than the Pacers vs the Rockets

dear espn, why the hell are you talking about baseball more than college basketball when baseball hasn't even started yet, and college basketball is coming down to the most exciting time of the year

Dear ESPN,

Tell your Sportscenter crew that shouting like fucking spastic dipshits is NOT cool or funny. Please, get back to giving me sports and not wanna-be comedians.

(this is in response to tonight's top 10 plays, in which whoever was working alongside Stuart Scott -- I just flipped in -- was screaming like an absolute idiot over a baseball spring game home run)

^^ seriously, that had to be the worst shit ever. If that play were the play that caused the underdog to sweep the World Series, MAYBE. But a shot that cleared the wall (didn't leave the stadium if I recall correctly, not that anything he fucking said would have told me so) and was like #8 on the top 10 was just... over the top.

Why so? That shit startled me and when I watched the play later, I was like "THIS is what he's screaming about?"

Kinda like the Stephen A principle, only applied to a white guy.

^^^^ I agree, but that kinda stuff should be saved for games that fucking matter.

My opinion doesn't change of the situation because it was Kenny Mayne; he's actually one of the better guys on the show. But last night that struck me as VERY overboard, and combined with the shitty night I'd had to that point I just needed to vent also
