I am looking to get some easy catering done for a party... something like a sub platter, dessert tray, maybe a vegetable tray or something along those lines. I know a lot of places (like Jimmy Johns, Moe's, Subway and Chic-fil-a) have some type of catering menu, but there is a difference between having the word "catering" on a website, and actually offering decent service.
Does anyone have any great experiences or horror stories? I'd love some suggestions! 12/3/2006 5:41:55 AM |

The old place I used to work at could do just about any kind of catering on any budget.

It's run by a guy who graduated from the CIA and was the exec chef at the hotel hershey for a while. His name is Greg and he's a great guy.

How many people do you have? How much are you willing to pay per person? Do you need just the food/utensils, or do you need somebody there to serve it as well?
Dirt cheap is Cooper's BBQ, which runs $4.00/person for large orders. 12/13/2006 2:36:49 AM |

I am looking for about 20 people, give or take. I just want prepared platters of food that I can sit out on a table... nothing complicated. Right now I am planning to get a Jimmy John's sub tray, a few fruit and veggie trays from sams, maybe some wings, and some kind of sweets. If I pick up some plates and napkins and stuff at walmart, I think it will be under $100. I wanted to pay someone to do everything rather than having to run all over, but the cost difference was huge, and a friend offered to help out... so there we go 12/13/2006 3:28:10 PM |
