At least Michigan won't get the chance to choke like your Tigers did.

We all know how Tressel stinks in big games, and how Leak was robbed of the Heisman, he'll chalk up tOSU secondary????? Seriously what logic is there to support Florida winning???

tressel is 3-0 in bcs games. 1 of tOSU's BCS wins was in the sugar against TA&M under Cooper

I guess losing by three is, after all, the same outcome as losing by 40. I'll leave it up to you to make the call as to which game would be more interesting to watch.

Actually at this point I'd rather just see Florida v. Michigan. Just have the OSU guys play their second string.

I wish it would be pointed out that there was only one lead change in the entire osu/mich game. andd by the second half, it was obvious the entire time who would win.

at least the sec was plagued with horrible defense, and judgement calls (read : fish) to obtain multiple lead changes. it was horribly coached defense which got pawned off as offensive brilliance. pretty much sums up any sec game i suppose.

perhaps horrible judgement (leak's 2 quick turnovers, fish backing up, timeout fiasco, etc), but the defense in the game was decent overall.

^^^ Horrible defense in the SEC?

Maybe you need to recall the biggest regular-season games in the SEC this year...

#3 Auburn 7, #6 LSU 3 (Sept. 16)
#7 Florida 21, #13 Tennessee 20 (Sept. 16)
Arkansas 27, #2 Auburn 10 (Oct. 7)
#5 Florida 23, #9 LSU 10 (Oct. 7)
#11 Auburn 27, #2 Florida 17 (Oct. 14)

Doesn't look like the defenses were too bad to me.

tOSU is going to anihilate Florida....I probably won't even watch it b/c it won't even be a good game.....OSU is a powerhouse, when they're on offense it's like watching a game in fast forward...

At least with Michigan the whole world woulda been watching, and it would have been a great game.....The BCS system is incredibly screwed up, and this is the perfect example.....I really hope OSU blows them outta the game in the first quarter, then I won't have to watch that stupid chop thing all the fans do

Score prediction.....OSU 52 Florida 10

We all said that years ago when Miami lost to TOSU, and Texas beating USC. You never know.

^anyone who thought Miami would pound OSU a few years back either a)worked for ESPN, or b) didnt watch OSU's defense that year.

wahhh, i wanted UM because it woulda been a good game. im not going to watch because it wont be a good game.

now im going to turn around and wish that it is a bad game in the same breath, wah.

it was a close call and they chose florida, get the fuck over it. they are a decent team and it will be interesting. they've never played each other so perhaps some people enjoy seeing that instead of seeing the same rivalries over and over again. what is the point of OOC play or bowls otherwise?

i agree a playoff would be better, but they can do a decent approximation. it wont be 100% obviously.

well, as much as I like the playoff system better too, it still has the same problems.
Suppose you have the 8 team playoff systems with two bracket leaders. Well, then who will be the bracket leaders in a scenario like that.
One would be ohio, the other florida OR michigan. If you chose florida then you would get ANOTHER semifinal between michigan and OSU. If you chose Michigan as a bracket leader than you are not giving a Florida a shot to play OSU in a championship game. Also then there would be controversies regarding who deserved to be the 8th team in the playoff and who got cut.
See all the same controversies will surface in a playoff scenario too.
However I still believe playoff>>current system

I don't see those as problems with a playoff system. If you have OSU v Michigan semi-final it doesn't matter because that isn't the only game that is going to be played. Rematches in a playoff scenario aren't that big a deal.

If Florida doesn't get a shot at OSU in the NC then that means they lost in a game leading up to the NC and don't deserve the shot.

i like the playoff system much better too.. but whatever the system is there is always gonna be teams that are whining about selection and some teams that got robbed.
and I really dont see why the playoff system is not still adapted.. this mess happens evey single year again and again
