Need some info about the game. It'll be the annual Reynolds game, I know that much.

Went to the online store to buy tickets, but noticed it said that no floor seats would be sold and when I tried to order, says it's unavailable.

Sold out?

Floor seats for the Reynolds game are reserved for family/friends/$$ donors. There should be plenty of general admission that'll get you in for the upper level (and possible the baseline risers).

Do you guys think I can buy tickets at the door?

I'm having trouble buying them online.

Will this game sell out?

I agree (other than family, of course), but I also can't argue with Grandpa F. Hundredthousanddollars not having to claw his way up two flights of stairs and shimmy down a row of fifteen seats to see the Reynolds game.

Can't buy tickets on this site:

http://ev10.evenue.net/cgi-bin/ncommerce3/SEGetEventList?groupCode=BBALL&linkID=ncsu&shopperContext=&caller=&appCode=

Can anyone tell me if I can buy at the game tomorrow night?

Will it be sold out?

Will there be at least scalpers?

The new end seating is lamesauce, but what're you gonna do? Since I don't have reserved (read: "donor") tickets, I'll be in the first row of upstairs, right above the Savannah State bench.

There are no predetermined student sections, only reserved and GA.

Also, Reynolds Coliseum is the most perfect-est basketball building ever built. It scared the shit out of me when I went there when I was little and the building would shake during important defensive sets.

its long and skinny, 2 courts could literally fit longways on the floor and there is only room for about 4 rows of seating on the sideline. the corners of the upper deck start a good 30 feet from the end of the baseline.

^ Please note that the "modern" configuration is nothing like the way the building was actually designed to be set up like. The old floor seating started right at the court and went up to meet the front of the upper deck (like it does it at Cameron, the design of which Reynolds is copied from 1:1 with added length), so while there are only four or five rows of floor seating now, it hasn't been that way forever.

He's a Duke fan. Anything not named Cameron is a dump.

Honestly, I've been to games in a lot of places and my 3 favorite, in order, are Cameron, Reynolds, and Dupont Pavillion (on Villanovas campus).

Though the Paelestra for a Big 5 game is unmatched in atmosphere for a neutral site..

I love Reynolds. I wish we would schedule a real game in there. Reynolds is really loud and its unfortunate that the games that are played there are against no names that we usually win against by 40 points. Usually a low turnout also...

^^ Oh, I know, I just think it's funny to mention the width of the building and the amount of room for sideline seating when, from wall-to-wall, Cameron is identical to Reynolds.

Cameron is NOT identicle to Reynolds. It is in almost every way except the demensions and that is what I'm talking about. They were going to copy cameron but decided to put more seats in and made it much longer than cameron. That is where they messed up at. I'm not saying cameron is a great building either because its not (the crazies and setup make it great) but reynolds is a disaster. It can get loud but it is a horrible place to watch a game.

reminds me of this...

Having seen games in Reynolds occasionally growing up here (including an upset of #1-ranked UNC), I still really like the "old barn". I can't argue that it's old, there's no leg room, there aren't enough restrooms, it has no A/C, most of the end zone seats are a terrible view, etc.

But there's a ton of history there. When it was built, it was called "the Madison Square Garden of the South" and the 12,400-seat capacity was enormous by the standards of the day. Reynolds hosted many ACC Tournaments, as well as the Dixie Classic (the mother of all holiday tournaments), David Thompson's heroics, Jimmy V's "Never Give Up" speech, and many more great moments in college sports.

Because of the low ceiling and the students being very close to the sideline (although only on one side), the noise level could be deafening, and provided a huge home-court advantage. We needed a new building, and the RBC Center is great, but I don't think the atmosphere of Reynolds will ever be duplicated there. I'm glad we still play one game each year on campus, and give current students the chance to get a glimpse of what it was like, even if the game is against a weak opponent and during final exams.

^^^ Dear Mr. Illiterate,

As I said, the only dimension in which Reynolds is identical to Cameron is width, which you were bitching about.

Love,

I literally just found out an hour or so ago that I can go to this game. Before I call the athletic office with my question, does anyone here know off the top of their head:

Will there be student tickets at the door--i.e. show your ID and get in?

^^And it doesn't suck at cameron because they use almost the whole lower level as students including that riser of about 10 rows on one side that tightly packs students from just below the upper level all the way down to the floor. If they did anything near a normal setup it would really suck. Reynolds was loud and a great atmosphere but it still sucked for everyone to watch a game in.

reynolds didn't use its small width this way.

the width of the building may be identicle but the width of the floor is tiny at reynolds. the upper decks are much wider which means less floor space MR ILLITERATE

^^ This is precisely my point. The setup pictured is not the original Reynolds setup, but the modern one that was used up until they replaced the portable floor with a wall-to-wall version. The original setup was identical to Cameron, with a larger set of riser that moved from the sideline all the way up to meet the upper deck. The riser was so close to the floor that the WPTF table wasn't even on the floor, but a few rows back on the riser, closer to the upper deck railings. I don't have my Reynolds book or my scanner at the moment to demonstrate.

this will never be the case for a MBB game again, if im not mistaken

ok, now i've a question:

about general admission for students, does that mean we can sit ANYwhere, or just behind the goals, along sideline (which i assume is probably commandeered by SWPC anyway)

can i see in the upper level along the sideline with a student ticket or are those for the alumni that wont show up

^^ if i'm not mistaken, last year and previous years the donors got to sit in the lower level behind the bench, swc got lower lev across from bench, and everywhere else (behind goals, upper level) were GA

what? Reynolds is awesome...I look forward to this game every year. I wish we played more non-conference games there.

and I don't know about buying tickets at the door but I don't think it usually sells out...there is usually room but I don't know if thats alumni with season tickets that just don't come to this game or not...good luck
