My fiance's work computer has the following specs:
P4 2.4, 512MB, 18GB hard drive. (its a dell dimension 4400)

She would like to be able to run the latest versions of creative suite and studio 8, as well as normal office aps. I'm thinking that if they upgrade the RAM to 1GB (that's the max) and the hard drive, and reformat to get rid of all of the crap that has built up over the last couple of years it should be fine. Price should be 100-200 depending on deals.

Is this enough computer for what she wants to do? Is it worth it to upgrade, or would it just make more sense to buy a new dell?

Any thoughts?
thanks

those P4's actually do well in applications like Studio 8 (much better than their gaming performance) Id say with a gig of RAM that computer should be able to run the software fairly well. Only thing Id be worried about is only having 18gb of HD space.
