The old one died, and no one can post on it. I'm bringing in the new thread.

TNA is coming to Knightdale on 12/15. House Show. I'm seriously considering going.

I remember seeing the "Fallen Angel" Christoper Daniels walk past me to get his luggage at RDU a few months ago, and Samoa Joe and Petey Williams was waiting for him. Great stuff. Anyway, might as well revive the TNA thread.

http://www.tnawrestling.com

Anyway, who else watches TNA, and what do you think about the product?

i care more about TNA now more than I do the WWE.

Petey Williams' face turn should be huge, and it's about damned time. I've been cheering for him since long before his face turn.

They need to cut some of the retards and get some real talent in there. Shark boy, eric young, sonjay dutt, and norman smiley need to be let go or relegated to traveling house shows, because while they're fine wrestlers, they have no charisma.

I like the old WCW feeling to it, and I think there is some old WCW talent they could bring in to make it a little more interesting... guys like Alex Wright, Kidman, Disco Inferno, and other midcarders who at least make things marginally interesting until the main event.

The addition of a midcard title, or the transition of the X-division belt to the midcard title, would go a long way, as there's a ton of guys who are legitimate winners that don't have shit to do and nothing to fight over. (lance hoyt, killings, sabin, etc)

I have big hopes for TNA. Right now i'd say they're better than everything but Raw, especially since ECW has gone down the shitter.

oh, and i think i'm the only person that actually likes the James Gang anti-WWE/DX angle.

No. Last thing we need is another WCW.

I LOVE THIS ANGLE TOO. Man, if this angle can get over and have like an angle with WWE implants/detractors inside trying to exploit or destroy TNA (i.e. Angle, Christian, etc.), that would be genius.

well not WCW as it was, but WCW as it could have been. TNA's got enough room to let those guys grow into awesome stars.

TNA is definately getting better.

I just wish they would either expand to 2 hours or focus on 2 or 3 matches and let them go for 10-20 minutes each.

It looks Paul Heyman is out of WWE. I hope TNA picks him up and makes him head of creative with Russo under him.

It has a feeling a LOT like old WCW. my issue is i think those midcarders would do well here becuase that's all TNA seems like it is is all midcarders. that's the only thing that keeps me from watching it so much. it's like it has a lot of potential but i dont care to watch the wrestlers. It seems like the WWE has a hell of alot of talent but they spend WAY too much time talking and half of them cant act for shit. maybe i'm just too old to enjoy it like i once did. i miss the days when WCW and WWF were having the Monday night wars. That was primetime for me.

umm, the WWE has nowhere near the wrestling ability of TNA now. At least with Vince taking away half the moveset of the roster. Take RAW; the only guys that can wrestle a solid match are Shelton and eh.... maybe Carlito and Edge. Thats about it.

Yeah, I know...everybody doesn't like professional wrestling. It's not everybody's "cup of Joe." Anyway, I'm still a fan, even if people call pro wrestling "lame" or "fake" or whatever.

If I'm the only one, so be it, but since someone else mentioned going, there must be an interest in the event.

Give me a promo from Cage, James Mitchell, or Raven before anyone...and for the love of all things holy I mean ANYONE...on the E's roster.

Give me a match with roughly 1/4 of TNA's roster before anyone...and for the love of all things holy I mean ANYONE...on the E's roster.

The E has a talent list of guys who can actually go that I can count on one hand. And Benoit and Booker are getting too old for this shit, so things are about to get much worse.

I just got home after the event, and I must say it was well worth it. I got to meet all of the wrestlers and I got pictures taken with them. The Highspots store was on point with a lot of different kinds of merchandise. My seat was in the second row, and I tried to get good pics, but I had a post in my way. Other than that, I thought the wrestling itself was very good. Lots of high-impact spots, psychology, and great fundamental wrestling.

The three-way between Petey Williams, Jay Lethal, and Alex Shelley was probably the best match of the night. They showed why the X-Division is so great.

Samoa Joe couldn't compete because he tweaked his knee badly at the Impact tapings. He didn't wrestle, but he got a huge pop when he came out.

The main event was a very good match between the X-Division Champ "Fallen Angel" Christopher Daniels vs. the NWA Champ Abyss.

Some guest stars were Buff Bagwell (WCW fame) and Maven Huffman (Tough Enough I Winner & former WWE wrestler).

No Sting, no Angle, no Cage. Just let you know.

If TNA comes back to NC, I'll definitely go. It was a great turnout.

Has there ever been a better chant in wrestling...or any sport(or "sport" for those of you who still think the NBA isn't just as fraudulant as pro wrestling) with a better chant than "Joe's gonna kill you..."?

Yeah, I LOVE that chant. Man, Samoa Joe was really cool. Got his picture and everything. I think they should give him the strap sometime early in 2007, or at least build him up for the strap. They are doing a good job holding off on the rubber match right now b/w him and Angle.

^^ or "This is Awesome". Between TNA and Ring of Honor, I can never hear enough of it.

^ I see Joe getting the title around March or April maybe. Definitely before Slammiversary in June.

Oh and their is talk of both RVD and Rey Misterio coming to TNA when their contracts expire with the WWE early next year. I've heard Benoit's name mentioned also. What a huge pickup that would be for TNA.

Yeah, those would be HUGE pick-ups; however, it's how TNA uses these talents. Remember when Bret Hart went to WCW? Bischoff and Co. didn't know how to effectively use him and look what happened. Anyway, I'm watching Impact this Thursday because I want to know how Samoa Joe hurt his knee.

Am I the only one who finds the P.C.S. gimmick absolutely hilarious? They should do this every year, but since Nash will probably not be there next year around this time, it probably won't happen.

Reminder:

Impact - Thursdays at 9 PM

Tonight's Main Event

Samoa Joe & AJ Styles v. Kurt Angle & Rhino

This is probably the match where Joe injures his knee. Anyway, I know few will watch considering the highest rating they've had all year was a 1.2. Still, I support TNA.

Wanted to bump because TNA is having a two hour special on Monday night, Feb. 12. This is big since Raw will not be on USA that night because of the Westminster Dog Show. Here is the press release.

Elevation X is this Sunday. I felt like bumping this even though Vince Russo is killing TNA with his storylines. The only thing that he has done right is the whole Paparazzi thing with the PCS and Paparazzi Idol, but other than that, nothing. Tomko beating Samoa Joe? WHAT? Abyss is ruined. Everything is going downhill.

Here's the card for Elevation X even though I don't have any confidence in this pay-per-view.

NWA WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE MATCH
CHRISTIAN CAGE (c) vs. SAMOA JOE
(Joe better become champ or I may not watch TNA for a while. 'Nuff said.)

ELEVATION X MATCH
AJ STYLES vs. RHINO
(A new version of the scaffold match, but I think this should be more geared to the X Division guys. Why are they still feuding? We all know Rhino is going to lose.)

X DIVISION CHAMPIONSHIP
CHRIS SABIN (c) vs. JERRY LYNN
(May be that match that steals the show. X Division matches usually don't disappoint.)

LAST RITES MATCH
STING vs. ABYSS
(I get more confused everyday, WTF is the object of this match? Pin? Submission? Strap someone on a freaking platform? I have no f'n idea. Why the Christian overtones? Abyss will never be the freak of nature again.)

KURT ANGLE vs. SCOTT STEINER
(Battle of the 'roids, wanted to get that in before anyone else did.)
