If you can't get it off the line... you still lose.

not to mention for taking 3 seconds to set up his launch on a 530 hp awd car... a 1.8 60' sucks

what really sucks about this, is not a 3sec. reaction time...but the fact he is drag racing.

↑ ↑ no shit hence i have to walk to work and bum rides everywhere.

↑ true... i'd prefer a road course too but its so much more expensive.

not saying street racing is a good idea but a friend of mine once told me
the difference between a drag racer and a road racer on the street is,
the drag racer gets caught.

Drag racing, while totally different than road racing, can also be fun. I'd prefer road racing, but since I can pay $10 and run my bike as many times as I want in a night at the Drag strip, it's still worth it. I mean, where else can you hit 130mph legally for that cheap?

But NOBODY here has the right to talk shit to someone trapping 130mph in the 1/4 mile. Wtf cars can beat that? Saleen S7 twin turbo?

huh? plenty of street driven cars out there trapping 130, especially the power adder group since they generally make time later in runs.

Regarding the reaction time, I'm sure the guy was just focusing on his launch and paying no attention to the lights. I don't think you can hold that against him. I'm sure most of you know this, but I figured it needs to be said based on some of the comments.

point is driving 130mph for a second is lame
driving in a straight line for 1/4mile is lame

relevance is that you can drive 130+ for a longer distance multiple times on the same run by driving on track.

i think most of us can agree with that, but no one is impressed or interested in how cool and elite you think you are because you've done a track day or two.

basically, your comments and opinions have nothing to do with the thread at hand. gtfo.

Call me crazy, but I like driving things on pavement, sand, rocks, dirt, in straight lines, circles, tracks, over shit, up, down, back again, through the fucking air, and even IN to shit intentionally. Anyone that says "their" racing is the "only" worthwhile racing is an ingnorant dumbfuck.

You lack versatility. You've obviously never raced a coworker in a workvan, or your neighbor on a tricycle when you were a kid. Racing is racing, regardless of the medium.

Ha! Go ahead and choose 10 totally different methods of racing, and I'll kick you ass at least 8 of them. We can even race canoes or sailboats that can't even do 130 miles per DAY, I really don't give a shit...but your e-p33n needs to be shoved up your pompous ass.
