<3 The Knife.

I would kill a hundred white babies to see one of their shows.

I love all of the people on this site who listen to The Knife / Ratatat just because they have been included in the indie music that is currently cool to like.

^^ yeah I am not the biggest fan of them either ...

I see this as a completely different trend though. This is people who listen to Belle & Sebastian / Arcade Fire / Sufjan Stevens / Tapes n Tapes / Of Montreal / whatever and then list The Knife / Ratatat as a favorite band. To me that is the equivalent of saying "I have never listened to Electronic music before in my life, I just listen to what Pitchfork tells me to."

I don't read pitchfork.

Ratatat is lame.

I listened to electronic music years before I listened to indie rock.

I liked The Arcade Fire before they were popular.

I listened to Sufjan years before he got so ridiculously popular.

I listened to Of Montreal yeeeeeaaaars before they got so ridiculously popular.

I'm not saying any of this makes me cool--on the contrary, I waste way to much of my time listening to music. What I'm saying is this:

Eat a bag of dicks.

i finally got around to listening to the sufjan christmas eps

my utter distain for christmas music made even listening to it uncomfortable.

but i still did.

maybe it was the years of poison fed by mariah carey christmas albums followd by 'nsync christmas on nonstop repeat for years and years at my mothers house that did me in.

my mom always played the kenny g christmas albums and i got soooo tired of them. she also had plenty of the standards like perry como, etc. I actually really like his version of O Holy Night. probably my fav classic christmas Song.
