We could do a A LOT worse than this guy. He's essentially the polar opposite of Amato, so if we were looking for change, we're definitly gonna get it. Will it translate to more wins, that honestly depends on if we can find a competent quarterback or not more than anything else.

I'm actually pretty happy with this hire to be honest. It wasn't TOB that reached his ceiling at BCU, it was BCU. They are never going to relive the success they had with him as their coach no matter what they say about him. That program has subpar facilities, shitty alumni support, and no one gives two shits about them in Boston.

In our 'best' year ever we were 11-3. TOB has had 3 straight years with only 3 losses and that is at a school that doesn't have the fan support, facilities, or alumni backing of here.

Give him a chance. I think you'll be surprised at how good of a coach we hired.

wow... kinda came out of nowhere (if its true). but ill take it. looks like a decent pick. makes me wonder how we would have faired if we would have had time to really look into the coaching position. my guess is that unc courted davis for quite some time... we get about 2 weeks and make a decision.

From what I understood, it's more about him wanting to leave than BC wanting to get rid of him. He was simply unhappy with being a college football coach in a pro sports town, along with all the other afformentioned reasons.
