where is a good place to eat the friday after graduation for 15-20 people? I thought about PF Changs or Cheesecake but I don't know if they can accomodate that many people.. 12/11/2006 4:36:37 PM |

is that you on the red motorcycle?
topic: how much are you looking to spend per person? I would try Bone Fish, Biaggi's (sp) Stone Wood (my personal fav of the bunch) 12/11/2006 4:41:21 PM |

What red Motorcycle?
I really don't care about the price. I expect all parties to pay for their own meals. I just wanted somewhere that we could all sit together. 12/11/2006 5:23:13 PM |

at pf changs, you would be stuck at a big table nea/in the kitchen. I had a birthday party there and they were jerks about the whole situation.
I think 518 or Cafe Luna would handle a large group really well. We have also been to bogarts for a large dinner party and were very pleased. 12/11/2006 6:39:41 PM |

I would make a list of places and start calling. For a group that large, they may have issues accommodating you this late. 12/11/2006 6:43:30 PM |

Yeah, I thought Bogarts was a good idea. But we were planning on going the 22nd around 7pm. I looked online and saw that the Dickens was playing. I don't know what type of band that is or what time they start. And do they have music playing during dinner?
Tony bourbons sounded good but with a party of 15, I don't know if everyone likes creole. 12/12/2006 7:58:48 AM |

I had a great time at Kanki. Was about 12 people total and the chef was amazing. Kept throwing food at me and I'd catch it and eat it. 12/12/2006 9:53:29 AM |

If you are thinking of Bonefish, make sure to get reservations since you have a large group. 12/12/2006 12:41:50 PM |

Yeah just for an update..
I decided on Bahama Breeze. I wanted some place that would mesh with my friends..all of whom just graduated within the last year and like to drink. Along with my step mom, step dad, real mom and real dad who like martinis or wine and all of whom don't get along. PF Changs wouldn't work becuase 7 of the 20 ppl didn't like chinese. 5 didn't like cheesecake. Cafe Luna was too small. Maggianos was too far. Lonestar had peanuts on the floor. bogarts was kind of pricey. (too close to christmas). Tony Bourbons might have been too creole for this group. And no one had heard of stonewood grill. Yeah, good luck to the waitress that serves this bunch. I guess they didn't get the memo that said this was my celebration.
The only hesitancy is that its on a Friday night. They don't take reservations. But they said call ahead. hmm. I think the younger crowd will just get there at 6pm and start a cocktail hour. Everyone will be there at 7pm, so hopefully, we will have a seat by 730pm.
but thanks for all your suggestions and PMs. In another 48 hrs it would have been Cookout. 12/13/2006 1:38:19 PM |
