yeh, adds more cushion and helps the pad not get worn out so quickly.

the best thing to do when you're trying to extend the life of your pad is to put boxes and egg crates under it, that way, over time, the pad doesn't get worn out so quickly (you'll feel the bars on the frame when its worn out)

I'm not sure. i've had it for years, and it was my brother's before I had it. all I know is that it's got all the basic items (knife, scissors, cork screw, bottle opener, nail file, screwdriver, etc), its red, and has the cross on it.

it's fairly old, 10+ years. it was used pretty good, so it does have some scratches and knicks. and like I said a few posts up, I don't know if it's a real swiss army knife or not.
