Ok, I drive an old 99 alt

And, the right side window will go down but not up. It's weird isn't it, I push the button on the drivers' side (tried the pass side too by the window), and the window whirs and goes down back into it's enclosure, but the only way for it to go back up is to pull it pretty faking hard.

Anyone ever deal with this before?

your missing a clip that goes into the window and the side of the door or your motor is shot on the window. i just stopped using the window when it happened to my 1990 88 oldsmoible, well the window will go back up after sitting a while not pushing on the button.

hmm. probably the motor. u could try not putting it down all the way and see if that helps though. my dad used to have an 85 silverado that did that. if u put the window down all the way, it refused to go up, but if u left like an inch sticking out, it would go up fine, just a little slow.

doubt it, sounds like one of the bushings is shot and the rail has popped loose from the lower slider, still not a complicated or expensive fix though

^ most people don't understand that there are 4 major different kinds of regulators, and every vehicle listed here so far has had a different style

that being said, this part here

http://www.partsamerica.com/ProductDetail.aspx?mfrcode=ACI&mfrpartnumber=88221&parttype=1326&ptset=A

is the regulator/motor assembly

I may be able to get you the part you need cheaper than $175, but I need to know for sure what make/model we are working on, and also what window its for on the passenger side.
