I guess it doesn't have to be shag, I just want to learn something fun that doesn't require a whole lot of dedication to remain passable. I've got good rhythm and all that, now I just need to learn something other than what comes to my head. Learning how to lead a partner and all that, a little bit of actual skill would be nice.

Ok I'm a member of the Wolfpack Shag Association so I have some knowledge...

Red's closed down indefinately. Supposedly they will open up in their new location, but Red is a (formerly? I think he quit) drunk old man with more dreams than ability to make it happen. He wanted to build a full restaurent etc.

Anyway, WSA usually goes to Longbranch every Thursday night. There's live music and a pretty good ratio... usually 1:1 or better. I actually learned how from our president (Christy Reich) about two years ago and I try to get out there most weeks. You can also pick it up from a Social Dance class, but some of what they teach you is never actually done in real shag clubs...

Next semester, come out on a Thursday night. It's $8 if you are not a member of WSA and $3 if you are. I think it will be $10 to get a membership next semester. I can help you out and can probably find a girl to dance with you.
