I thought the movie was pretty damn good.

Matthew Fox did an awesome job but Matthew McConaughey on the other hand...
let's see, imagine if George W. Bush and Willy Wonka had offspring. That is how he portrays his character.

i really enjoyed this movie today

i teared up alot, and overall i thought it was a really good movie portraying a very tragic story

and while most of the actors did fine jobs, i will say that matthew mcconaughey was kinda....meh. however, even dressed up in horrid 70s attire, he's still FREAKIN GORGEOUS.

My dad went and saw it and he really loved the movie. He is into the sports, come back from behind, inspirational movies. The new Rocky movie is next on his list. Anyway, yea, he really liked We Are Marshal. He also said it got a little slow about 3/4 of the way through but picked up again at the end. I would give more details but, alas, I did not go see it.

actually he was on the basketball team at marshall but he was a HS soccer player so maybe they played that angle in the movie

the kicker they showed in the movie is the guy they pulled off of the Marshall soccer team

they did pull a guy from the basketball team, they called him Stretch and he was like 7 feet tall

yeah they just changed the true story a little bit in the movie.

I mean the guy was a teacher/coach of mine for five years so I know the true story cause he talked about it nonstop.

He was on the freshman basketball team (this was before freshmen were allowed to play varsity sports).


He had a soccer background cause he was a stud in HS but he was definitely not a member of the soccer team. That just made for a better story in the movie.

already LOL'd early on when the one play I saw when I turned the movie on was a 15-step drop hail mary...typical football movie play

this was the first movie i saw with my wife... (although it wasn't a date... went with a group.)

When i saw this i had NO IDEA about the backstory so when the plane crash happened i was like WTF MATE?!!! (i thought it was just another generic football movie)
