i know i dropped the ball on this one

i have to find someone/someplace to take care of my *friendly* doberman from Dec 26th to Jan 1st

been calling around everywhere... full or waitlisted

does anyone on here know of any pet boarding or babysitting services that aren't full? maybe there's someone trustworthy and qualified that would be able to come to my house that doesn't advertise as much as the kennels??

please help

Check the nearest large apartment complex. I know there are quite a few advertisements for people that will come by and walk, feed your dog etc... in my apartments.

Does it get along with other dogs? I'd be happy to do it if so. I've watched several different dogs on tww before.

Most Animal Hospitals with boarding fill up more slowly then the boarding specific places like Camp Canine, so I'd check with them.

Eh, fuck it, I hate to see a dog in trouble (you dumbass!). I'll be around until the 30th, so I can help out with the dog...but there's NO way in hell I'm missing a certain boat race at the beach new years.

My labs have a dobie buddy that they hang out with and they all get along fine. Yours friendly with other dogs? More importantly, friendly with humans?

Can the dogs stay at your place and just be cared for by a person who goes by to feed, walk, play with etc? If so, I may have some business recommendations for you...

(sorry if you already answered this)...

If you're really in a bind, if I don't go out of town I'll help... assuming you live around Raleigh/Cary.

Or I can help after ^ leaves

Whoa! I said I'd help with the dog if needed. I can't take sole responsibility until then. hahaa. Damn.

I've run into probs finding last minute help for my dogs before, but I wouldn't put it all on just one person. They got shit to do too, ya know.

hey now... i thought i responded yesterday but must've closed the browser window before it sent

anyway, i am right now checking out my last few options (calling two more kennels and waiting on one possible family friend), but its not looking good

the dog could (and preferably would) be staying at my house in cary. if my last few options dont check out, i would definitely be willing to pay a dog-loving person to make sure she's taken care of while i'm gone

oh, and she is very human friendly, as long as she doesnt think you're an intruder. she's a very sweet dog, although she doesnt always have interest in playing with other dogs. she's been chased around by a miniature rat terrier before.
