Wow, this just has to be one of the best looking concepts ever, by any company. And the great thing is, they could produce this now, and it wouldn't look outlandish as most concepts do.

Looks amazing with the top down, but a quite a bit misproportioned with the top up, because of a long front overhang, and a half as long back overhang (which you only realize with the top up).

except, it is not competing with the 6-series convertible, but with the 7-series convertible, which doesn't exist.

as far as i know, there is no 4-seat 4-door convertible on the market now.

the grill is great, and it goes great with the headlights and the wheels.

p.s. love those SLR-inspired taillights. headlights are fabulous as well.

Ugly as sin. Mercedes keeps tacking on shit to make their cars look more "Aggressive" and "Sporty" but it all comes off looking like an aftermarket bodykit by some kid in southern california with rich ass parents.

But my REAL reason for hating this is the PISS POOR illustrator/photoshop renderings of the car posted as real photos. I mean, if you are going to post a concept at least give up some real deal shots.

what the hell are you talking about? tacking on shit??? that concept has one of the cleanest and smoothest-flowing bodies among all mercs (production or concept). look at the current s-class, now that HAS tacky shit on it (example: bulging fenders). this thing, it is clean, everything is seamless. i don't see where you see anything resembling a "bodykit".

as for saying those aren't real photos, stfu, because they ARE. those are official pics released by MB. sure, they aren't "real-life" shots, but studio shots (vanity shots) with illustrator/photoshop backgrounds (except perhaps the last one), but the car in them is real. jesus, talk about being blind.

^^Smooth and flowing? There are so many creases and parting lines that disappear into nowhere it's aggravating. They got a bit carried away with the mesh grill shit too and the headlights are more retarded than the ME412's tail lights (hmm, another Chrysler concept, coincidence?)

And having gone and gotten the ACTUAL Mercedes Benz press kit for this car, 1) its a complete one-off. 2) Every outdoor shot is heavily doctored, you can see the remnants of photoshopping in all the original press photos, and they didn't exactly do an amazing job of it. 3) The wheels "in motion" are freaking blur filters.

The only ACTUAL pictures are the ones in the studio with the wood flooring, as they have unaltered EXIF information still attached to them.
