I was pulling onto the beltline yesterday and while in the exit, it decided to let the turbo have some of the cool outside air. The feeling of getting on the highway like you're being thrown from a slingshot is pretty cool also.

I am not one to normally burn up the highway, I am pretty much past that. But once I got on the beltline and saw there was little traffic, I figured that I would keep going and air it out a bit. I was doing about 95 when I passed a punk in a white Acura Integra with a piece of shit, color doesn't even match the car, thinks he gets an extra 50hp body kit. He was just moving right along behind another car.

I thought nothing of it until I saw in my rearview that he was now trying to catch up to me. So, I slowed down for some upcoming traffic, and this dude is riding my ass -- wtf? are we supposed to be buddies now?

Again, not my normal thing... When I cleared the traffic with him behind me, I dropped it back into 5th and hit the gas to let him know that he's a bit out of his league. He got pretty small in the rear view...

Until I slowed down for my exit -- as I take the ridge road exit, here comes douchebag coming up from the rear barreling along at what I would guess to be ~100mph. I was surprised to not see any parts fall of. Even if I were racing him and he won, what's he gonna do? Brag to his friends that he just beat a Volvo?

So there he goes, cool guy -- racing against himself. I figure he probably would be met by a cop just a little farther up the road.

I figure that some of you are illiterate or I have failed to illustrate that while I was taking a rare moment to enjoy the added pull that a turbo provides with cold air, a redneck in a hosed up car took it upon himself to try and show me up somehow.

It was something that I thought a few of you might appreciate, but it seems I may have struck a nerve with with a few people that have cars similar to the one I described. For that I am sorry.

But the fact is, you see them everyday just like I do -- the "have as many teeth as brain cells" people that buy economy or entry level "sporty" Japanese cars to tint the windows, install cheap body kits and loud as hell exhaust baffles to make it look like they are "2 fast, 2 furious". They seem to like to hang out at the mall and post in this thread.

You also know that they have a chip on their shoulder about every car that comes from the factory faster or more powerful than theirs -- with the right chip installed, they can beat those piece of shit Corvettes, Mustang GTs, M3s, you name it. In place of that logic, they might suggest that they'll outdrive you on a track. Their car against yours, any day. The fact is, the cars they own were just fine and more impressive before they set out to impress somebody with all of the mods.

I have not been holding my breath to tell what kind of car I have. In fact, I know that most people don't know about that model and it's a small part of what I appreciate about it. I get no pleasure from beating up on civics, integras, or even type-s TLs for that matter.
