Is anyone planning to study abroad in Japan? Or if anyone has already been, what school did you go to. Tell me anything about your experiences. I'm planning on going Spring of 2008 and I don't really know what I'm doing.

The study abroad office can hook you up with students who have studied there in the past, I almost went to Wales this past semester but decided I wanted some CHE here at NCSU before going overseas.

I didn't study abroad but i spent 3 weeks in Okinowa. Fuckin awsome, Id reccomend it to anyone. Plus sencse there is so much US military there alot of ppl speak english.

Okinawa and mainland Japan are not the same thing. I've spent 19+ months in Okinawa and can assure you of this.

a) If you spent 19 months there you were prob military and didn't have the same experiance as a tourist

b) I know its diffrent, and ppl there have a diffrent mindset but he didn't say where he was goin in Japan. Mainland is reallly fucken bright and crowded. Thought i would share my good experiance with Okinowa

Fo sho, I plan to go to the Study Abroad office as soon as school opens back up. I've been kinda slack about it since I don't plan to go for another year. But I'd still like to meet some people that are interested in going =)
