ok i'm a total dork when it comes to looking at maps. so i want you guys to help me out. i'm looking into a condo for the week of july 4th on North Myrtle Beach. the only place i've ever stayed down there was on the Grand Strand i think, it was a long row of somewhat run-down oceanfront hotels, walking distance to a pier and lots of shops and a small amusement park.
can someone please tell me how close the 4300 block of S Ocean Boulevard (where i am looking to stay) is to the 2300 block of S Ocean Boulevard (where i've stayed before)?
is it a mile per 100, as far as street numbers are concerned? i really have no clue! 12/29/2006 11:59:51 AM |

Did public schools cease teaching people how to use the scale bar on maps? 12/29/2006 12:06:13 PM |

the problem i found is that North Myrtle and Myrtle and South Myrtle are on curvy parts of the state, so it's not a straight line down the coast of SC, know what i mean? i can't really figure out how to measure it since it's curvy land... 12/29/2006 12:07:48 PM |

2 miles
The Poindexter is in Myrtle Beach, not North Myrtle Beach.
There is a North and South Ocean Boulevard in BOTH Myrtle Beach and North Myrtle Beach so do not let that confuse you.
