This is a Tripplite PV-550 power inverter, for use off a 12V source like a car battery/solar panel/etc. It can power a 550W load (continuous, not "peak"), which is more than enough for most small appliances and even power tools . . . . its perfect for camping out in an RV or truck, and would be great for those overnight "release lines" where you want to power a TV and such off your car battery.

Two outlets on it, and no cord . . . . there are two heavy-duty wire nuts on the front for + and - battery connections. I've used both my jumper cable and a cord for a car DC jack with it before. 1/3/2007 12:55:12 AM |
