I missed it this fall but got all caught with the Soap network's marathon. I really like it and am excited for tonight.

I caught the pilot rerun a couple weeks back and was pleasantly surprised. Its a fun show. I'll have to watch more later.

i think they totally ripped this show off of a similar program on univision, or telemundo, or whatever the hell spanish station we get up here is

i forget what it's called, but the character is a girl with the braces and the full nine in awkward situations and whatnot

^ The show gives credit to "Yo Soy Betty La Fea" as being based off of the original Columbian series. I am not sure if the original creators are apart of this American version though, but I do know that Salma Hayek is one of the executive producers

it won some kind of award at the golden globes and almost all the ppl who went up on stage were hispanic so i assume they were some of the original creators

Salma Hayek's character (Sofia) was setting Daniel up the whole time to help launch her magazine with a cover story about how to snag a playboy in 90 days (or something like that). Once she got the ring, she went on TV, let the cat out of the bag and dumped him.

Then, out of loyalty to Daniel and disgust for what Sofia had done, Betty went back to Mode. For a while, she shared executive assistant duties Amanda, but since Amanda didn't want to get on Wilhelmina's bad side, she went back to being the receptionist.

You can go to ABC's website to watch previous episodes. All of the major networks do this now for most of their shows.
