Well, gee, what groups have been hung... Well, quite a few Nazi's were hung after WW2. Sadam Hussein was just hung. I think there is a state that still uses the noose as the preferred means of execution.

So, it seems to me, the 50 or so blacks that have been hanged by the KKK are greatly out-numbered by the millions of ordinary criminals that have been executed this way.

I hate to break it to you, but it has been an America tradition to have a large group of angry private individuals show up at your house and hang you. This was adapted from an old English tradition of showing up at the homes of disgraced people and burning their house down, or firing them. This was reserved for many common criminals where either law enforcement did not exist or where conviction could not be assured, particularly for rapists, murderers, land swindlers, and horse thieves. While it is true that the KKK abused this tradition by using against innocent black people, it doesn't change the true historical origins of the practice as a form of anarchist law enforcement.
