My crappy FM antenna wire to my clock radio was doing a shitty job so I wrapped it around my 2" long rare earth magnet about 10 times and taped it there.

now it seems like its doing a much better job

does the magnetism really help or is it just doing a better job because the magnet is making it hang down in a different position?
