Like oil paint, water colors, linseed oil, turpenoid?
My mom found an art set she got me when i was really young and realized it was too advanced for me. I'm not feeling so hot, so instead of just sitting around tonight, I'd really like to use it, and i tried mixing up some of the paint, linseed oil and turpenoid. It really stinks, and I can't tell if it's still okay or not. And google hasn't been much help.
Everyting was sealed up/closed up, and it was inside for all these years (stored in the master bedroom somewhere). She found it when we were moving to our new house.] 1/8/2007 9:57:58 PM |

how young is really young?
go ahead and mix it up and see, it doesn't sound like you're gonna lose much if it doesn't but you can try to use a little paint thinner to thin it out if it's too thick.
what're you gonna paint? 1/8/2007 11:26:13 PM |

tits actually sound like a good idea.
i'm thinkin young means a kid. i've been into art since...well as long as i can remember.
i've never used oils before, and since the oils and stuff were stinky, and 3 of those tubes had a crack/leaked a bit (just noticed that). but i'm painting w/the water colors right now. i'm so freakin psyched. i want to go to jerry's, or somewhere like that, for more paint and paper, or canvases.
painting is awesome, even though i suck at it. 1/8/2007 11:53:36 PM |
