if anyone wants to sign up at http://www.bodog.com pm me. With my referral code they will give me a bonus of 40% of whatever you deposit.... i will give you half of that bonus....

so if you put in 100$ it will give you an extra 10% just for signing up and it will give me 40$ for referring you... which you don't have to earn... it is able to be automatically cashed out... so if you deposit 100$ you'll end up with $130.

it's whatever, figured i'd offer to make both of us money... on poker or sports betting

Last time I checked, wasn't playing real money in online gambling outlawed in the US?

ok, I have a question, if I were to put in $100,000 and then immediately cash out, would I get $130,000?

If so, you are about to make a lot of money...

you have to play so many hands with a certain amount raked in the pot to gain points, once you get so many points you start to receive your bonus... some places to a gradual payback while others make you get all your points before you get your bonuse... and they do put time restrictions on how long you have to gain points...

^^that is wrong... although many sites i've played on do that, not this one.

you get the bonus immediately (although you need poker points to cash your 10% it gives you automatically) and the 20% i give you is from my stack so its not even needed to be worked for. I play a lot so i have no problem getting enough points to cash out.

so if you deposit $100, you get 10 bucks extra immediately in your account, you cannot cash out that 10 bucks until you have about 100 poker points (not hard to get, i average 1400 a week)... and it will send me 40$, of which i will lose 20$ to you... so you don't have to worry about the poker points, i do. I play enough so i'm not concerned with the points.

maximum bonus is 200$ so 500$ deposit is max you should do

minimum deposit is only 20 bucks

wait- so what if you just wanted to do sports betting- how do you get your 10% then?

you mean your half of the bonus it gives me? it gives you 10% automatically, you have to make 2 bets per dollar or something of the bonus

the easiest way for me to give you 1/2 of the bonus it gives me would be for you to just download the poker client, doesnt take 2 minutes, then we'll sit at a 1 on 1 table and i'll bet say 20$, you raise and i fold... so its straight into your account

man i miss absolute poker's referral bonus.

despite Macguyver being the only one to fuck me over, I probably did it about 15 times, for 50 bucks a pop, and ended up winning the referral contest for a nice 3 grand.

So funny that he sucked so much at poker he couldn't even play 100 raked hands without busting out. Lol. Thanks to all again who didn't have downs syndrome and made me some cool cash last year.

"and sports gambling is not illegal"

It is certainly illegal in NC, but enforcement is extremely rare.

North Carolina G.S. 14-292 "any person or organization that operates any game of chance or any person who plays at or bets on any game of chance at which any money, property or other thing of value is bet, whether the same be in stake or not, shall be guilty of a Class 2 misdemeanor. This section shall not apply to a person who plays at or bets on any lottery game being lawfully conducted in any state."

Federal Laws
Title 18 Part I Chapter 50 Sec. 1084 United States Code " Whoever being engaged in the business of betting or wagering knowingly uses a wire communication facility for the transmission in interstate or foreign commerce of bets or wagers or information assisting in the placing of bets or wagers on any sporting event or contest, or for the transmission of a wire communication which entitles the recipient to receive money or credit as a result of bets or wagers, or for information assisting in the placing of bets or wagers, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than two years, or both." aka Wire Act.

The U.S. fifth circuit court of appeals has ruled that the Wire Act only applies to sports betting and the Supreme Court has yet to rule on the matter.

Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act of 2006 seeks to expand enforcement measures for online gambling by having financial institutions monitor and block the transfer of funds to gaming sites and have ISPs block links to gaming sites. of course this only applies to interstate transactions and excludes online lotteries, horse race betting, fantasy sports, and Indian reservations. Federal Reserve Board and the Attorney General has 270 days from OCt. 13, 2006 to provide specific policies in regard to this enforcement.

You probably won't be prosecuted either way, but sports betting and poker appear to violate NC state law. The federal laws are less clear and only seem to be aimed at the operating side, not the individual person placing a bet.

yeah, really. there's got to be some sort of limit/catch to prevent this.

if there isn't, and you will personally guarantee that, you'll be getting a large sum from me.

they changed the rules a little. They only give me 20% of what you deposit

http://www.bodog.com/bonuses/referralBonus.jsp

When you deposit you get 10% of what you deposit automatically into your account, you have to play some hands to get that to be able to withdraw it.

The 20% I get, i will immediately lose 10% to you at a table, so that will be immediately withdrawable, since it shows as your poker winnings, not as a bonus.

My 10% that is left, I will have to earn by playing a certain number of raked hands. I play all the time, so this isn't a problem.

The max you can do for the bonus is 500, which will give me 100, then i'll lose 50$ to you immediately... then you'll have $600 in your account (counting the 10% first deposit bonus), of which you can immediately cash out $550. That gives you 50 bucks to play poker or bet on sports with for free and an extra 50 in your pocket.

Let me know what you think.
