so
is that motor worthy enough
or should i keep the mower as a spare one??

it'll be pretty hard to make a vertical shaft motor work. you'd be alot better off finding a horizontal shaft.
look on craigslist, running go karts and ones that need work show up there pretty frequently.

^ yes and be way better to get ahold of a old honda cb engine or something in the same range and run that with a live rear end and a slap shifter. 1/15/2007 11:03:58 PM |

well i found this mower under the deck at one of our rental houses.
cleaned out the air filter (covered in mud) put some more gas into it. and it was good to go. 1/16/2007 1:55:06 AM |

^^ lol. i have bad luck with briggs motors on push mowers in tall grass and weeds. hit a pipe sticking out of the ground once with one and bent the fucking shaft so bad i couldnt pull the rope out to start it anymore 1/16/2007 3:13:02 AM |

Lawn mower engines are best used in lawnmowers. You can always sell it on Craigslist this spring and pick up a quick $50-$100. 1/16/2007 7:54:11 AM |
