a.) Calvin Johnson won't slide past the Buccs.
b.) I think you're right about A. Peterson.
c.) I've been saying Sidney Rice to the Chargers all season and I expect that one to be right too.
d.) I thought I read Samardzija was suppose to be looking at baseball or something?
e.) I don't expect the Packers will take a WR with their pick. Jennings and Driver are solid.

I wouldn't be suprised if you saw some moving at the top of the order. I could see the Lions or Cleveland trading out of their spots.

the lions will prolly go with a RB in peterson

the browns may go with....a QB as well

the cardinals will FOR SURE go with O line men with wishenhunt as coach

the vikes will go with WR prolly
and the Jags go with an O lineman or LB

This would be a badass combination, but I don't really think Sidney goes 1st round. Declaring after your 2nd year (and not a spectacular year at that) is a bad idea. He should have put one more in first. The boy has talent, no doubt, but he needs a little more time before playing pro.

4^ Yeah I thought with Kevin Jones having a serious injury this past season that Detroit may jump on Peterson.

But there is no way the Vikings don't take a QB if there is a decent one available. The QB position was one of their major weaknesses.

^After the year Cotchery had, I don't expect he'd come very cheap. I figure they'll try to trade Edwards for a first-round pick though.

i think they like Bjohnson actually, hes not a bad QB at all solid and knows the game

I think he needs some WR to throw to and they can be back in it, especially with his TE being one of the most underrated in the game.

Lions will go Peterson I got a feeling, Houston will get him if they do not
Falcons need a good WR option for Vick...no tellin what may happen there

i made this thread like a week ago in a way

I could actually see CJ not going as high as he should, since teams have more pressing needs at the top of the draft.

Miami would be crazy not to take CJ at #9 if available though. Their recievers are terrible.

Atlanta would pick him too, if not just to say that they're giving Vick the tools he needs (& since he's local).

Also, I expect the Panthers to take a LB, whether it be Posluszny or Woodley from Michigan

^Good eval, I agree. Carolina needs an LB or OL. Atlanta would be in the running for Calvin but he just has too many skills to pass up at a higher pick. I like that the first guy didn't pick all skill positions but maybe tried to hard. I don't think Adams is a 3rd pick although I like his athleticism.

^I thought that Atlanta might try to make a trade to move up to get Johnson, but I don't know what they'd trade.

And the Panthers do need a LB and a OL, but they could also use S help since Davis has become a LB.

But Nelson might be to flamboyant for Fox's style. But I thought the same thing about Gamble, so maybe they can control him.

the only team i can see trading up for Johnson, and they seriously might consider it from what is being said is the Titans.

so i see CJ either going to the Bucs or the Titans

According to the Charlotte Observer the Panthers don't consider have a 1st round safety to be an integral part of a good defense (when's the last time they spent $ on one, the shoulda never let Chad Cota go!) So I doubt they'll pick a S 1st round, more likely LB like Posluszny, or an O-lineman if they choose to reach for need (like they did with Peters in the past)

IMO, the Panthers' greatest needs are LB, S, OL and possibly WR if Keyshawn retires. I hope they take a LB or S with the first round pick. Landry from LSU is a good S too.

I could see Oakland being stupid enough to take a chance on Vick though they may would try to restructure the deal some I'm sure.

That could be a great move by Atlanta, but I expect they'll think it too big of a risk that they might lose some revenue from ticket sales because of it.

I see Brady Quinn going a little sooner and Calvin Johnson ALOT sooner. Even though Quinn is overrated someone is going to snag him earlier, possibly the Lions or Browns.

http://www.nfldraftcountdown.com/sub/mockdraft.html

Make sure you kill the mosquito, having to close a popup is nothing compared to the annoyance of that faggot.

Some notables:

Quote :
"1. OAKLAND RAIDERS
JAMARCUS RUSSELL
QB | L.S.U. | Scouting Report
After one of the ugliest seasons in recent memory, at least offensively, I guess you could say the Raiders "earned" the #1 overall pick. There are needs abound on the offensive side of the football but in the end they still need a top young quarterback to build around because Aaron Brooks most certainly isn't the answer and it doesn't look like Andrew Walter is either. Most teams still have Brady Quinn as the top rated quarterback in the draft but one of the few who might not is Oakland, in large part because JaMarcus Russell is exactly the type of physical freak that Al Davis is known to love. At 6-6 and 260 pounds Russell has rare size for the position and has been compared to Daunte Culpepper but what really stands out about him is his arm, which might be strongest at any level of the game. Russell is more of a project than Quinn but he has a higher upside and would help bring the vertical passing game back the Bay. If both Randy Moss and Jerry Porter are sent packing then Calvin Johnson just might come into play here as well but they really need a long-term signal caller to build their team around and after passing on Matt Leinart and Jay Cutler a year ago they simply cannot afford to pass on two more studs this time around. "

Quote :
"14. CAROLINA PANTHERS
LARON LANDRY
S | L.S.U. | Scouting Report
This is somewhat of a tough spot for the Panthers because the value on the board really doesn't match up with their needs. Their main weakness is probably at middle linebacker, where Dan Morgan's future is up in the air, but Patrick Willis would be a major reach here so that is really not a viable option. However safety is a concern for Carolina as well, with Shaun Williams only a short-term solution at best, so they take this opportunity to add the top rated player at that position in LaRon Landry. A true playmaker in the deep patrol, Landry is equally effective against the run and pass and just has a knack for being around the ball and making something happen for his team. There is talk that both Keyshawn Johnson and Keary Colbert could be sent packing this offseason and if that is the case then a wide receiver to compliment Steve Smith could come into play as well but John Fox is still a defensive minded guy at heart so with all things being equal he would defer to that side of the ball and Landry would be an outstanding addition here."

Tank at 18

Quote :
"18. CINCINNATI BENGALS
DEMARCUS TYLER
DT | North Carolina St. | Scouting Report
There is no doubt where Cincy's biggest needs lie and although the secondary is certainly a concern they will more than likely be looking to address defensive tackle or defensive end first. More often than not you have some major questions about a prospect when he really doesn't emerge until his senior year but "Tank" actually has a legitimate excuse. You see prior to 2006 he played alongside not one, not two but three guys who were first round picks in the 2006 NFL Draft (Mario Williams, Manny Lawson, John McCargo) and it really speaks volumes that he had his best season without the benefit of being surrounded by all of that pro talent. Perhaps no player boosted his draft stock as much as Tyler did last year and he'd be an excellent fit for the Bengals while offering them a youthful alternative and major upgrade over John Thornton on the interior.
