^^ What hose? Air filters shouldn't require any hoses to be removed (At least none that I've seen). I assume you mean like a vacuum line right?

You usually just open up the airbox, remove the old filter and put in a new one.

engine^

yeah, im a car noob but i mean i've put in alternators and changed air filters in other cars. ive never changed the filter in this car, im guessing that is the vacuum line.

once i loosen up the line and shimmy it off there isnt enough space to remove the top of the air box. i can open it slightly but but cant get the damn thing off after unlatching to install the new filter.

http://images33.fotki.com/v1138/photos/1/135338/5489564/IMG_0003-vi.jpg

this looks very similar to my issue but my vacuum line is longer and segmented into two parts which isnt leaving me any slack to open the air filter box.

That shit looks awful, it's a terrible position to put that airbox in.

Btw, you're sure you've released all of the clamps right?

yeah, all i can see are those two and i have felt around underneath and couldnt find anymore.

everything that i have seen on the internet doesnt really say how many they are but all reference the two in the diagram.

thats pretty much my car, my year but a bigger engine.

Just got these dress shoes for an upcoming special occasion:

http://www.kohls.com/upgrade/webstore/zoom_popup.jsp?productId=845524873695549

Gentleman, I have to tell you that Kohl's is simply the shit. It's the first time I've been to a department store in I don't know when that (1) I was able to get everything I needed (two belts, a wallet, and the shoes); and (2) they had my size (I wear a 13 shoe--you can find this size more these days than you used to, though).

Of course, I don't go to these stores very often, so it's hard to make an accurate comparison. And I don't "shop"--when something wears out, I just go buy a new one. Very fast, very simple.

I miss the old Adidas Good years... Similar to this:

http://www.shoebacca.com/adidas/goodyear-race-015587.html?utm_source=nextag&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=nextag

I guess I'll have to stick with the Porsche G2 or the newer Goodyears.

Omega Sports is having a shoe trade-in deal this month. Bring in any old shoes and you get from $5-$15 off any shoes in the store (amount varies according to sticker color). Usable shoes that you bring in are donated to charity.

that's a pretty cool video, but i don't like how they try to make it look like it could knock down a brick wall

those bricks were so loosely placed on there, that it would have taken only a slight nudge to knock it over

they have a few small north shore-style obstacles at the Legends park in Clayton if you want to give it a try. Keeping your momentum going is the best way to ride them without fucking yourself up.

more than just tools and shit

i need to figure out how to hook my gf's laptop up to her tv... (vga cable and see how it goes)

starting to look for new tires for the wrx (205/55/R16)

looking at: http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?tireMake=Bridgestone&tireModel=Potenza+RE960AS+Pole+Position

i currently have: http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?tireMake=Continental&tireModel=ContiExtremeContact

since we do occasionally get snow and ice here (ice mostly) i still figure that all-seasons still make the most overall sense
