I saw it today and thought it was ok. (not great, just ok.) it definitely made me laugh, but it's only an hour and a half. There could have been a LOT more added to it in terms of plot and backstory. I'm glad I just went to a matinee.

^^^ generally comedies shouldnt be more than 90 minutes nowadays. the longer ones always seem to start to drag towards the end (read: wedding crashers). it isnt like a drama where the story needs to be the main focus.

not really. Sure their characters are similar, but most comedy actors get stuck with what they are best at. Look at Jim Carrey's EARLY career.
