So, question is this- I used to go to the beyond fitness (havent had the money for a while) up near glenwood/duraleigh.

I live a bit too far to want to use NCSU's gym. Any recommendations on good gyms near where I live? (off Lynn/Creedmore road) that aren't that expensive?

I know peak fitness bought out beyond and hear from their ads and the other thread on here about them it's like $30 a month + some fees for a 2 year contract- which I think is too much for a 2 year contract and $60-70 a month is just not EVEN an option for without.

(I miss the days of like $12 a month at beyond but anyways...)

Recommendations anybody?

I'd use the one at my complex and plan to in addition but it's pretty crappy.

Talk to different people at different Peak locations. They always have different deals. I signed up for a universal Peak membership that worked out to about $16-17/ month with no startup fee. But I paid up front for 2 years back in September. Jan-Feb are the most expensive times to join a gym. The fall months are the cheapest.
