I need to get a pdf of an old dissertation from their "Current Research at Chapel Hill" database, and although it is accessible through their library website, I can't get to it without an ONYEN (like our unity id) or by going to their library. I was hoping someone on here might have one and be able to download the pdf for me and send it my way to save me the drive.
thanks! 1/17/2007 9:06:04 PM |

just call them and telll them you need access if your a state student, they will grant it and tell you how to access any of their stuff. I borrowed a 500 cd for a month under my visting scholar status.
At first I was paying the 25 dollars as a state resident and then they said oh you go to NCSU here is your 25 back.
IF YOU CANT GET IN I WILL TRY TO GET IT FOR YOU, LOGGING IN TO THEIR SYSTEM IS MUCH HARDER I WILL LOOK FOR THE CODES.

As an NCSU student we all have access to the major libraries around here - ours, UNC, Dook, and WF I believe. I think it was called "trip-saver", though not much of a tripsaver if you have a paper due the next day 1/18/2007 4:28:22 AM |

Pretty sure the fourth is NCCU rather than Wake.1/18/2007 5:09:38 AM |

Thanks for the help/info. I just drove out there and had it in no time. I definitely need to look into getting access as an NC State student. It would certainly save some time and gas. 1/18/2007 11:09:25 AM |

NCSU & UNC have more than just an exchange of books. They also have an interinstitutional program set up. You pay your normal tuition, but can take a course at the other school in places where the other school excels or has a program that your own school doesn't. I, for example, used this to take archaeology courses at UNC on a Tuesday/Thursday class set up. 1/18/2007 11:24:41 AM |
